With our easy-to-use tools, you can access the noVNC console at ArkHost directly from the client area.
The console session is what you see when you look at a monitor connected to the server.
With SSH (Linux) or RDP (Windows) you get a session that is not identical to the one displayed on the server's monitor.
Connect to your VM via the ArkHost client Area
From the main menu, click My Services.
On the My Products & Services page, select your Active Cloud Instance.
Connect to a Linux VM over SSH with Putty
If you haven't configured an A-record (Address Record) to connect to the server by the name, we need the server's IP address to do so.
This information can be found on the product details page of your Cloud Instance.
From the main menu, click My Services.
On the My Products & Services page, select your Active Cloud Instance.
Find the IP Address; you'll need this to connect to your VM over SSH or RDP.
Accept the server host key and connect with the root account and password found on your cloud instance server information page.
To connect to a Linux VM over SSH from Mac or Linux; Open the Terminal and type the following:
ssh [email protected]serveripaddress
If you can't connect, check that the connection is not blocked by the Firewall.
There may be a firewall active either on the ArkHost customer portal, or on the cloud instance itself.
